Well I suppose it's time for my semi annual update. Let's see here, what is new... School is going quite well, the level I am in is almost over so next week I will actually be working on the clinic floor and I feel more secure about this decision than I have with anything in a while. The only downfall is money, meaning the lack of. Due to our "thriving" economy (kidding) my job barley puts me on the schedule, so I work once or twice a week, ugh. The thing about Philadelphia is that everything closes early so there aren't a lot of options as far as after school jobs are concerned, and even if there was no one is hiring. Thanks again George Bush! Also, despite the rather high cost-of-living there is also no wage increase compared to here from back home. It's frustrating. So much that once I graduate in June I am actually considering moving back to NEPA just to save money. (Gasp! I know) The one major obstacle is the whole relying on an automobile thing. I HATE driving, and I HATE cars. I'd really rather just walk, bike, bus or whatever and I dread the idea of ever needing a car again. Life would be perfect to find a city that is small, moderately thriving, inexpensive with decent public trans system. ok im done for now.
