Oh, this is great! There's a terrific sense here of how they really are all a family, with those moments of tragedy interspersed with happiness and just the everyday stresses of growing up. Terrific -- thanks for writing!

Heh, well, you just know that in X3's first scene, everything Charles says to Jean is really just shorthand for "Hello, little girl, we're your new mutant daddies."

She learns that Scott sleeps with his mouth slightly open and small smile on his lips, as though his dreams are always pleasant, even though she knows they often aren't.

Awww. A beautiful look at the evolution of their "mutant family" and the Scott/Jean relationship. Very nicely done.

that is so absolutely adorable--but at the same time not cutesy at all. and so much of it makes me grin and overflow with holiday love. yay! wrapping paper fights and xavier in a santa hat!!

i especially liked erik's role in the story; you see how he important he was early on.
