A thought on Ultimate Scott/Jean
I found this awesome Scott/Jean icon set by jeangreyrocks; subsequent discussion led to this version of one of the icons.
It also got me thinking about how I have hardly seen any Ultimate 'verse Scott/Jean fic, that I can recall -- much less any sexy fic, which is sort of a shame as, well, we have scenes like this one (*points at icon*) and that their most recent scene in canon ended with the promise of a bubble bath.
I think Ultimate Scott/Jean -- and the Ult!Verse overall, with a few exceptions like Colossus, because he rocks -- gets less attention from fandom as it's seen as sort of a brunette-stepchild (not a red-headed step child, as redheads clearly get more juice in the comics world). But. . .I've probably got a little essay lurking in me about how I love Ult Scott/Jean differently than I love the pairing in other 'verses -- because they are a lot different here -- but I do love them.
The need to finish my Remix fic (and actually, you know, do work) is driving mini-essays to the back burner for the moment. But, 2 points:
1)If there is Ultimate Scott/Jean fic out there, can someone point me that way? {ETA: The two stories that share this tag are the only ones I know of, and neither of them is conventionally shippy. Both GREAT STORIES, though.]

2)Yin yang cutesy-noses! Bubble baths! Completely screwed-up cross generational love triangles! It ought to to be written! (And yes, I know I ought to write it, and hopefully will one day, but for now I'm just throwing it out there).
