Wow, its been a long time. Sadly, I don't have much to say these days. I guess all I had to talk about was Smallville, and I don't have that much more to say about that

Its so hard to figure out what motivates Tom, and what he wants. But I certainly hope he's got some irons in the fire. I figure the fact that he wants his domain name has to mean something, right?
I'm with you, in that no matter how I feel about SV overall, or the last season in particular, I really couldn't have been more satisfied with Tom, or his portrayal of Clark in every single season. Really, I have very few quibbles with the SV actors in general. I think Tom did an amazing job over 10 years, and that I'll always be thankful for.
I loved Super 8 too. Very entertaining movie, and very well done. Falling Skies just seems to have no real heart to it, and yet its full of maudlin sentimentality that rings hollow. None of it feels authentic. And I just can't figure out why its so bad considering the people involved with it. Now, maybe if they hire Tom for next season, I'll watch. Someone suggest that to Beeman on his blog! Tom could be reunited with Sarah, and we'd finally get a a charismatic actor, give Sarah something to work with, and the show might get more interesting.
I'm also Team Eric all the way. And really, whatever my feelings about Sookie, her and Eric are really meant to be. I've always thought that was fairly obvious. It sort of amuses me that Anna Paquin has more interesting chemistry with Alexander then with her own husband, but that happens sometimes. I never liked Tara or Jason either, but she's much improved this year. Jason's storyline is awful though.
I don't think the CW shows are for me. Maybe the SMG one. But the other two just aren't my cup of tea.
Colorado sounds great! I think I might be going to Turks and Caicos in October, but the trip is in the early planning stages, and part of me thinks I should stay home and save money. The other part of me thinks Fuck It, you only live once.

Quoted for truth. I realize it's part of his appeal for me, but does he have to be SO mysterious?

I'm clinging to that thought as well, and checking the site at least once a week to see if anything has changed.

I think that's a very astute comment, and it's a flaw that keeps me from fully investing in the characters emotionally. But it's already been renewed for S2, so I say yes to bringing Tom aboard! If they do, I promise to watch every episode to catch up.
I'm mostly looking forward to The Secret Circle on the CW. I have a thing for witches, and I like the SV people who have joined the show (Don Whitehead, Holly Henderson, Mairzee Almas, Jae Marchant). Plus it has Gale Harold in it, in a role that is infinitely more suited for him than the one he played in Hellcats.
I vote for Fuck it, you only live once, but I'm a lot better at saying it than doing it. :) But I think Turks and Caicos would be amazing!
I forgot to tell you before, one of the shows I've been watching this summer is Switched at Birth. It's pretty cheesy, but I like it anyway. Anyway, one of the two main characters is played by Vanessa Marano, whom you may remember as April on Gilmore Girls. Evidently I still haven't let go of my rage over how April was brought on that show to break up Luke and Lorelai (in the most annoying way possible), because I pretty much hated her SaB character on sight. We're eight episodes in now, and I'm only just now beginning to warm up to her. :)
Well, if anything changes with the domain name, I'm sure you'll be one of the first to know! And you'll tell us!!
As strange as this may sound, I think all shows should have characters that turn you on in some way. And Falling Skies? Nobody! And thats boring. That was another problem I had with The Killing too.
I will probably go on the trip, or some other trip. I get twitchy if I don't get away every few months. If I had the budget, and the work schedule? I'd be traveling all the time. I love it.
I know what you mean about carrying over bad feelings you have about a character to the actor. Its why I don't think I'll be watching any Allison Mack stuff anytime soon.

Oh, I totally agree! And I'll admit I've watched some bad shows for far too long because of the appeal of a single character.

Sadly, I feel the same way. And I used to adore Chloe.
