Fortune Screentime Minutes, and a Few Thoughts

 OK, so I'm trying to squeeze this in before I fall asleep, because I don't see me having the time tomorrow, and if I wait until Monday, I know I'm just not going to want to bother.

This isn't going to be much of a review.  This episode doesn't merit the braincells I'd use to write one.  I thought it was awful.  Badly written, badly directed, not

While I agree with you 100%, I am looking at the cup half full, could have been a hell of a lot worse. I think the show made a mistake bringing her back this season(and i would even argue they should have got rid of her for S8(or if your really getting to the root of the issue with her character as far back as S5)). The butt kissing from the producers to me is more of an whatever type moment, then anything I will be overly judgmental about. As I said given the way the show written off other characters(mainly Jonathon and Lana) I think Chloe's exit is a walk in the park despite all it's issues.

I don't think it in anyway benefited Clark, and I could even agree it didn't benefit the show in general(unless one is a fan of her character). As for Clark I don't think it impacted him as a character negatively in anyway. It's just another one of those whatever type moments for him.

I always said the only way somebody can enjoy the show is if you bury your head in the sand and ignore big chunks of the storyline, because to often the show is inconsistent from one episode to the next with characters actions and motivations. I think that's why in general I prefer episodes that are more stand alone in nature and don't try to tie to some bigger storyline(which to me is when the show really starts having problems). In the case of Chloe, all I will remember is she left happy, Clark looked happy and not much else and that's good enough for me. I should point out I had extremely low expectations for Chloe's return and it went much better then I was expecting so that probably has alot to do with my feelings towards anything that has happened the past few episodes.
