LJ Challenge Day 25
Another scorcher and hence another lazy day today. I've been thinking a lot about last night's reunion, playing over conversations and meetings on an off through the day.
One of the conversations I had was with some who spent time working in NY doing animation work for children's shows like Sesame Street. I was pointed to him by another HS acquaintance who, when he heard I'd written a children's book (working title: The Bebop Ballet) and that I didn't have an illustrator, sent me to talk to Matt.
While I truly doubt anything will come of it, or that Matt will even follow up on our conversation, his seemingly genuine interest in looking over my manuscript and offering feedback rekindled my interest in my own piece and I'm going to at least pursue the couple of thin leads I have toward the road to getting published. I also plan to, at the very least, record the song that goes with the book, even though I don't have the instruments/instrumentation to go with it...
I think Alexander might have strep. He went to be early, has a fever, and recently came out of his room saying his throat hurts. :-( At least if it's strep, it's an easy fix. But it sucks to be sick.
