hello!
I know that I’ve posted around a handful of times this year, but I had to mark the occasion: ten years ago today, I signed up for LJ. Damn.
Ten whole years. Who ever thought I’d still be on this site ten years later? (And, yes, I actually am on, just, err. On anon memes.)
I’ve been meaning to write more these past couple of months, but time just kinda got away from me. It’s been, well, eventful. My dad died in July and I’ve been spending a lot of time with family (both immediate and extended) since. Been back to SJ and Sac a couple of times over the summer, and then to San Diego and LA the past several weeks. I got to meet my cousin's son for the first time in SD, and my cousin Gem's back from Japan, so we met up in LA which was good.
The biggest change to my family came three weeks after my dad died, though, and that was the birth of my niece. She would have been my dad’s first grandchild. (His funeral was close to her expected due date, and my brother joked that it would be just like our dad to make him miss her birth, since our dad missed mine.) She’s absolutely, absolutely beautiful, and I think everyone around me is probably sick over how much I gush over her, haha. So I've spending even more time at my brother and sil's house since she was born.
I've been watching a lot of HGTV and Netflix lately. I'm catching up on Once Upon a Time and Nikita right now, and I have a bunch of other things on my queue to get to. Wondering if I should get into Revenge before the new season starts. Haven't watched the newest episodes of Doctor Who, and not actually sure when I'll get around to that, oh well.
Other than that, not really doing much else.
