Snow and Bigby are just so totally my comic book OTP! I am so ridiculously behind on Fables that it's not even funny anymore (I left off at the beginning of The Good Prince), but it's still the only comic left on my pull list at my LCS, and that is in good part because how much I love these two characters. I fell head over heels for these two at the very beginning and rooted for them to get together then as well. Funnily enough, tundraeternal picked both of my Snow/Bigby icons for this meme (and I'll get to the other one later of course), and the text & keywords for both of them kinda highlight what I loved about them from the beginning, that they are very much not a traditional fairy tale romance. (Which is not to say anything against fairy tales, given how much I adore them!)
I love Mirrormask! So very much! And a large part of it is because of how awesome and wonderful and funny and bounceoffable (I don't care if that's not a real word!) off each other Helena and Valentine are! (And all the other parts of it are because of how awesome Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean were in creating this fantastic movie that's so them that no one else could possibly have made it.)
Oh god, Octavian. Fucking Octavian. I might have been slightly WHAT WHY?? when they replaced Max Pirkis with fucking CHARLES BINGLEY as Octavian in Rome. And then I watched him on screen and Oh. My. GOD. I grew to love him every bit as much as MP's Octavian because he just played it so perfectly. This is a guy you definitely do not ever want to fuck with. Because he will fuck your shit up, for serious.
Ahhh, Sylar, Sylar, Sylar. Made at the height of my moment in Heroes fandom. (You know, back when I actually watched it. Erm.) Idk, I just love the image of Sylar against the backdrop of the city.
This is the second of my Snow/Bigby icons I mentioned earlier! I don't know if I ever revealed this on this LJ before, but the end of the issue this icon comes from took me COMPLETELY BY SURPRISE. How, you ask, when it should be really VERY obvious that they're getting married?!? Because this is JAMES JEAN and he taught me to never to look at his Fables covers because they are always spoilery. D: D: D: The text on the icon goes "Happily ever after doesn't always end with a prince and a castle" and the keywords finish the phrase off with "sometimes that's just the beginning". It was something I wrote years and years ago for a story I never finished, and it eventually hit me that that was so very applicable to Snow so I made this icon out of it. :D :D :D
OLY! This adorable, adorable dog, for the vast majority of my flist who don't know and don't care, belongs to Jordan Malone, short track speedskater. Jordan holds semi-frequent webcasts on UStream. Sometimes, his dog Oly is in it. During one of them, someone commented over on ontd_e that it looked liked Oly was trying to eat the mike. So I made a Nom Nom Nom icon out of it. I don't think I have ever used it yet, but I have no doubt that someday I will! Because a nom icon is always useful for when you have the foods, right?
