I swear that that is exactly how Holmes looked during that part. (I am watching Hound of the Baskervilles, for those of you keeping track at home.)
Also, it is amazing how a certain portrayal can change things, isn't it? Like, I found Baynes awesome in "The Adventure off Wisteria Lodge," but in the dramatization of it? So. Skeevy. I can't stand him in the episode.
