I'm sure you've all seen a post like this on your flist already, but:

If you want one, comment.
Anyway! I forgot to mention, but I got a new computer last week. It is named Methos. (I, erm, might have been watching a Highlander episode for some cheery-ness a day or so before I bought said computer. What can I say? MacLeod's reaction when he thinks Gina's killed Methos never fails to bring the lols.) It is with Windows 7 and it is weird getting used to it; it has been determined that this is so because I skipped Vista entirely. The most >:( part of it though? Is the "Shows Desktop" button on the lower righthand corner of the screen. I have for years automatically put the mouse there when I am using the keyboard to scroll, so now I have MAGICALLY DISAPPEARING WINDOWS YAY from time to time. It is a hard habit to break, I find. But I persevere!
(Windows 7 is very shiny. I told my brother that Windows 7 is to Windows XP as the Speed Racer movie is to real life. It is, I think, an apt description.)
Other things. I am off to San Jose for my birthday and Christmas next week. Hurrah! This caused some confusion in my immediate family as we tried to figure out when exactly we would open our gifts to each other since, yeah, not flying them to California and back, and our schedules have become SO incompatible since my s-i-l started her new job. Luckily, it looks like we'll be able to do it on Sunday morning. *crosses fingers*
But I am done with my shopping and everything is wrapped and everything is good! I rewatched The Muppet Christmas Carol and Blackadder's Christmas Carol for my wrapping shows. Yay Christmas! Kermit!flail!
