Ten!

Ten is currently on probationary status in my head because I'm waiting to see a bit more of him before I let him run free. And I know he's already been seen in Pudsey Cutaway and TCI, but those are regen stories, and, thus, shaking out the bugs. I want the series to start NOW! =D

I do like Ten a lot so far (BIG RED BUTTON! LION KING! ARTHUR DENT!), but I'm being cautious because I'm not quite sure how much of it is Ten!love as opposed to David Tennant!love. The thing is that David's the only Doctor whose work I've watched (and known who it was I was watching on screen) before he graced our screens as The Doctor. And so, watching him as Ten, I have to disconnect my mind from "OMIGOD DAVID TENNANT ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTORS!!!!" and view him just as THE DOCTOR, you know? Because I want to view him in terms of just the Doctor, as Ten, and not through the lens of, say, my utter love for Casanova. I don't want to watch Doctor Who and immediately think "DAVID TENNANT!" when I see him. I want to watch it and think "There's the Doctor!" like

I saw him as the Doctor first, and now I'm trying to get my hands on everything he's ever done. The only other Doctor I've ever seen was Nine, so I don't really know how much of Ten's personality is the Doctor, and how much of is just Ten. All I know is that I love him.

Ooh, what have you already watched of David's, if you don't mind my asking?

The only thing I've watched so far is the most recent Harry Potter movie, but that was an itty bitty role. I've got Cassanova and Blackpool downloaded on my computer, but I haven't got around to watching them yet, except for the first 10 minutes of Cassanova. And I've watched every interview with him I could find on YouTube. :)
