Mmmm, memories

When I was little, I always wanted to be Lucy. Don't get me wrong, I love all the Pevensies, they've always been my favorite family in all of literature, but Lucy. She was my favorite when I was younger, and I wanted to be her because she was brave and fearless and fantastic and she got one more adventure than Peter and Susan and, to my impressionable young mind, she wasn't Susan who totally got shafted in The Last Battle, because, hey, when you're little, who wants her fate when you could have Narnia, right? So, Lucy. She was the one I connected the most with of the Pevensies.

With that said, let me say who I loved the most in the movie: Peter. Because William Moseley was just fantastic, he just shone as Peter. I don't think I've loved Peter more than I've ever loved him in the movie. I loved how he kept trying to protect his family, how he loved them so very much and it showed, how brave and yet not fearless he was when facing Fenris Ulf Maugrim (hey, I grew up reading about Fenris Ulf! I know it's Maugrim, shut up! I'm perfectly happy with my original American set, thanyouverymuch. =p), his horror at Edmund's wounding, just...everything. Oh, Peter.

(And while we're talking about casting, just let me say: omigod, I totally did not know that Jim Broadbent was playing the Professor. He's Digory!!! Heeeh! And Kiran Shah was the Dwarf! Bwahahaha!!! *coughcough*)

ETA: I also should not find Mr. Tumnus hot, dammit! He's Mr. Tumnus. *cries*

That's really all I'm going to say for now, I'm wanting to watch the movie again before I try saying anything more intelligent about it. So I'll just leave you with this: I have my The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed it very much and I'm happy. And now? I'm just looking forward to seeing Reepicheep in a future movie. Oh, Reepicheep. ♥
