OH MY GOD!
I know I just did a GoF-trailer squee, but, but, but. I realized that The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe trailer also just came out and went trawling through the net to look for it.
Now, I love the Harry Potter books. But Narnia, oh Narnia! It will always be my first and greatest fantasy love. I'll be okay if the GoF-movie isn't all that great, because the Columbus movies? Yeah. Used to disappointment on that score. But I'll be positively heartbroken if the Narnia movie isn't everything I want it to be. What LotR is to a lot of people out there, Narnia is to me. I still remember reading the books as a child and just loving them to bits and pieces, and I've read them over and over again over the years, even after learning about the religious bent of the books and not really agreeing with them. Because it's Narnia and I just love it too damn much.
So watching this trailer? Tears came to my eyes and I was sobbing by the end of it because it was just...it was Narnia. There were the Pevensies (who I love and adore, they're my favorite lit family ever--oh Peter and Edmund and Lucy and Susan, poor poor Susan who I always mourned and felt angry on her behalf in the last book because she got shafted...) and the wardrobe and Lantern Waste and Cair Paravel and Aslan and the White Witch and Mr. Tumnus and and everything that was Narnia that I fell in love with as a kid. It was just amazing and it gave me chills and I loved it. Absolutely loved it. And I know it sounds silly, but I was just so overcome by emotion at seeing it all and I just sobbed and sobbed even as I rewatched the trailer over and over again.
And I'm just gonna stop now before I make an even bigger fool of myself. =p
