Good news! Yes, Mac definitely had bone cancer, but the vet was able to amputate his leg and so (we think) remove the entire tumor. Now that he's in recovery and on the right pain medication, Mac is happy again. He should live another year. We still don't know if his cough is due to the cancer spreading to his lungs or if it is just seasonal allergies, but at least he's not in pain anymore.
