ON THE ROAD: a rundown of things so far..
4/27 - Eve of Chaos
we picked up the trailer at about 12pm, packed it up and head out towards an old friends house... we hadnt seen Samlee in like forever... so off we headed towards the Washington DC area... got there in like 4 hours or so, and Samlee was as beautiful and sweet as ever. We had a great time.. drank way too much... and slept on her EXTREMELY puffy and comfy bed :) She has a GORGEOUS house... we'll have to do that again very soon... The next morning we head off to NYC...
4/28 - New York, NY @ Pussycat Lounge
We woke up at Samlee's to a yummy breakfast.. D had a headache from drinking too much tequila.. haha... we hugged and thanked our sweet host.. and head off to NYC. We kept hitting traffic and it kinda sucked.. but the worst was when we got to the city. You're not allowed to drive through the Holland Tunnel with a trailer since after 9/11 so we took the ever congested Lincoln Tunnel.. and it was a mess.. but nevertheless, we got into Manhattan and drove alllll the way south to where the venue was... and then.. TADA!!! no Parking! it was a mess.. we were parked in the middle of the street with van and trailer and a pile of garbage.. haha.. luckily.. more like miraculously, someone left RIGHT in front of the Pussycat... so we took the spot and unloaded...
we saw our Sugar Cookie (lucia, our manager) which i hadnt seen in way too long... and her brother Dougie, who is absolutely awesome. We saw many friends... everyone was great to us... met tons of new people, which never sucked... and then the booking agent said that it was the biggest crowd he had EVER had there on a weekday, which is very nice :) very nice indeed. We played a great set :) and the crowd asked for an encore :)
We met a ton of really hot girls, which always rocks.. had a few amazing photographers take pics (which i'll post later) and sold a heap of merch..
all in all, it was an amazing night, and a great return to our beloved NYC. Then we decided to take the crazy drive all the way to Williamsport, PA since the hotel allowed us to check in mega early.... We bailed at about 2am.. drove until 6am (D started the drive, then Mikey took over... ended up DELIRIOUS) checked in to the Holiday Inn, ate a free breakfast and passed out...
4/29 - Williamsport, PA @ Penn College
We were all up at about 11 - 11:30-ish... it was rainy but we were psyched.. so we got dressed.. packed into the van and headed off to Penn College which wasnt that far from the hotel. We were greeted by our friend at Penn... they were all extremely nice to us... and we unpacked our gear.. got dressed for the show in the van... There was a band there, Agony Hill.. they had a huge tour bus.. they rocked the first set... then we hit the stage.. it was pretty amazing seeing people ive never seen before singing our songs...
After we played.. the last band on was pretty kewl... then there were tons of people at our merch table.. we sold out on a bunch of stuff... they had a wall climb and a moonwalk.. D and mikey killed themselves in the Moonwalk... it was great.
After the show, we packed up and were invited to dinner by the college. After, we head out to their radio station and acted like retards... including a very interesting cover version of Snoop's/Dre's "Gin & Juice". you HAVE to hear that :)
Later that night, we were comped to THEE club there, The Cell Block, which is like in this old haunted Jailhouse... It was smokey, sweaty.. we drank too much... met a few girls that we invited to chill with us after... then head back to the hotel... with our arsenal of Liquor bottles..
We had EVERYTHING.. tequila, rum, jager.. my personal fave.. Coconut Rum... got wasted.. someone puked. Someone else got laid in the other bands tour bus. All in all.. a very interesting night.
We pushed our check out time the next morning to 1pm.. for safety's sake.. haha
4/30 - Philadelphia, PA @ Emerald City
We were dressed and packed up by about 12pm... head to a Denny's with our manager... then bailed to Philly.. which was a 4-5 hour drive (it was rainy / foggy / crappy).. When we got to Philly it was REALLY shitty weather.. which always sucks in having to unload. We had soup and cheese steaks at a diner... then head back to the venue.. unloaded and chilled for a bit.
we met so many hot chicks.. it was rediculous.. its like everyone in philly with big boobs came to the show.. haha. We did our set.. sold a ton of merch again.. by this time, we're running very low on everything, which is crazy.. we WAY had more than enough... oh well.. really shouldnt complain :)
The band we played with, Octane, rocked.. their crew and members were really kewl with us... I met some friends i had been talking to online... especially Jenn... she was hot :) and a total sweetie... def looking forward to seeing them all again.
We decided to bail early because of the rain... so we packed up quickly and head off to our next destination.. Maura's house! yay! Interesting drive at 2am... we were all delirious. But thank u PS2... Tekken and Mortal Combat on the road rocks...
We arrived at Maura's house like at 3am... delirious.. and just kinda passed out...
5/1 - Asbury Park, NJ @ Bamboozle
We woke up this morning, rushed to get dressed and head out for an 11am load in. Then fuckers... apparently, the booking agent WAY overbooked and screwed about 20 bands out of a time slot. We had a lot of very upset fans (with the bamboozle, not with us directly) and a bit of a tiff began, but all was well.. we just chilled with a lot of the fans.. spent the day eating the venues food and drinking our mixed drinks.. from our now Mobile Bar.. haha
D got wasted on Tequila... mikey and nyk were getting seriously buzzed on Bacardi and Coke... i was drinking my fave.. Malibu and Juice
We head out that night towards Long Island at about 9pm... Challenged each other on Tekken the whole ride there... well.. everyone but D, cause he drove. Don't worry.. he was sober by then ;)
5/2 - 5/3 - Long Island... May Day
Today we just CHILLED.. on May Day, and D and i spent some time on the beach.. which was great. We ate barbeque... amazing. Drank, but of course.. haha... and just all around pretty much chilled. The next day, we went for an awesome yacht ride around the island. Tequila is now getting out of hand.. haha.. just an all around relaxing time. much needed...
5/3 - now
well.. right now, im sitting with some bleach in my hair.. letting u all know whats been going on... i have to go wash this out now.. and we're headed to Hartford, CT.. we have a show tonight with Alkaline Trio... this should b fun..
