I'm going Surfing, Bitches!
I always leave long gaps between posting, or so it seems. I guess I'll try to be a little more regular, since I'm always on here reading my friends' page.
I'm going to Brazil on March 3rd! Yes, I'm in school, and yes, I work, and yes, I will still have soccer then, but I'm ditching all that crap for 12 glorious days. Short-term trip planning is a bit stressful (especially since I need to get my passport, which is already in the works, and a visa, since Brazil requires one, lickety-split), but I'm super-duper excited. Yesssssssssssss. We're flying to Sao Paulo and meeting up with a couple of our friends who will've already been down there for about a month, and we'll probably mostly stick around the Sao Paulo/Rio/surrounding area since we don't have a ton of time. If anyone's been there I'd love to hear suggestions/stories and such.
I've got soccer tomorrow morning for the first Sunday in what seems like For-EV-ahhhh. Damn snow and ice and water has been wrecking & closing the fields for well over a month now. I don't really feel like I'm in prime shape, so we'll see how that goes. The going-out-late-and-getting-loaded the night before might be a contributing factor to my suckiness, too, but I'm obligated to go to this going-away party thing.
OK, how come I didn't know that Portia de Rossi was gay? Not to mention that she'd been dating Ringo Starr's step-daughter?!? I heard some garbled celebrity gossip report on the radio, but I wasn't really paying attention, so I looked up what I thought I heard, and it seems to be true.
Speaking of celebrity gossip, I love seeing all the Brad & Jen/Brad & Angelina stuff on the magazine & tabloid covers every time I'm in a supermarket or a 7-11 or whatever. It's seriously cracking me up.
