Since I quit my job in August to spend more time with Eric (take him to speech) I've noticed that SAHM's are the most stuck up, self-righteous people I've ever met. Yes you get to spend much more time with your kids. That does not make it the hardest job in the world. I love reading these stupid studies on all the jobs SAHM's do and how much they are worth. However, most SAHM's I know have someone clean there house once a week and take their kids to preschool. How about working parents that work outside of the house and then come home and do the stuff you have to do with kids after school? Housework, dinner, all after school activities, etc. has to be done regardless of what's going on. My favorite is the SAHM's with kids that are in school all day.
I just read a post by some mom on Facebook about staying home with her kids:
I thank God and my husband often for this ability. There are sacrifices, but none of them compare to the long term sacrifices of my children being raised by someone else. I think it is interesting when couples say that they cant afford to drop to one income when they both drive cars that are less than 5 years old and eat out at least twice a week. I do not know the last time I drove a car that new or could afford to eat out AT ALL! I am NOT complaining. I love what God has blessed me with. But these folks really mean "We are not willing to make that a priority in our lives."
WTF! I guess we should all have to be poor. Not to mention lots of moms I know need to have someone else raise their kids.
