We have a contract on our house!!! The buyer had a inspection and there was only 4 little BS things he wanted fixed. The buyer wants to close on or before March 28th. So we are busting our asses trying to get the other house fixed up. We have the carpet and tile people lined up. The cabinets are mostly in. However, we are having a hard time getting the counter tops lined up. We want granite counter tops, and we are cheap. So we have had quotes from $2800 up. So Larkin found a place today that recommended someone that does the work for $20 a square foot and we can buy the granite straight from them. So I'm hoping it works out.
I'm so glad we are going to be moving. We had our house listed for over 6 months. One crappy bid 2 months ago. After almost 6 months we decided we wanted to fire our real estate agent. He was a complete moron. So we started to call other real estate agents. Every real estate agent we talked to could not understand why our house did not sell already, because we live in a very desirable area. One agent told us she would come and tell us what was wrong with our house. When she showed up, her mouth fell open and she walked around the house. She then told us that nothing needed to be changed.
Larkin found a agent that was willing to sign a contract with us for only one month. We showed the house 4 times and had a contract in 4 days. I'm ready to be done with all of this.
