...please tell me why the heck I continue reading on a daily basis the shitty status of our economy? I know it's depressing and everything, and yet I continue to read it...

Funny thing is, I used to not pay that much attention to the news as I seemingly do now. Boy, I sure know how to pick a time to do that...*sighs*
