S.O. dropped me off at the university in pouring rain so I could compose a schedule of my fall semester. EVERY class period is now accounted for. I hope the committee will be thrilled.
Tomorrow's Labour: fleshing out my new course proposal (Sympathy for the Devil, hopefully to be launched in the winter semester, January 2011) with a similar day-by-day plan, even though I don't know yet whether it will be scheduled on Monday-Wed-Fri or on Tues & Thurs.
Spontaneity in teaching is apparently no longer hip. Well, I can understand the rationale - sort of - there are at least 25 first-year courses, and they need to be consistent. Sigh.
When I got home late (because of weirdly changed city bus schedules to coincide with changes to formerly one-way streets), S.O. had not cooked, so we went out. I comforted myself with Guinness. :)
