Spreads the Love

I normally listen to very dancy music and sugar pop... but, though you may doubt it at times, I do have a musical soul and quite varied interests.
The latest of those interests is Ray LaMontagne.
It's been a long time since I've felt so much love for an artist.
His voice, music, lyrics... just grab a hold of my gut and lift me and tear me to pieces.
It really just takes you in... well it takes me anyway.
I want to know if it has the same effect on you... It's a beauty that would be wrong for me not to share. So I'm hooking you up with a couple tracks... Give these a listen and let me know your thoughts.
My favourite is Hold You... listen to that one first... it's the one that got me:

After listening to that one 8 million times I started ferreting for some other stuff and came across these live tracks which i love:
Ray - Burn (live) This one is mindblowingly beautiful and a great balance with Hold You.
Ray - Empty (live) This one doesn't pop like the other two... much lower on the intensity scale... but when he kicks in with the Harmonica toward the end it breaks me and makes the whole thing just burst on your tongue. It's very Tom Cochrane... which brings me love :)
And now I'm all thinking about Tom... Oh I adore him. People are usually shocked to find out he's on my top three. 1) Cyndi Lauper, 2) Dolly Parton, 3) Tom Cochrane.
I have a list of artists who make my life wonderful and i really need to see them before I die... I always thought that I would only ever get to see Tom... but he's the only one from the top 3 who's managed to get away from me! haha
