This is a lovely continuation of the other story, the different POV of Sam's makes us see it a little different. Great job!

Thank you, there were a few things that I couldn't show from Gene's point of view that I still wanted to make clear so I hope this does it ;)

Lovely set piece to the earlier fic! Thank you!

This, I think, really captures the whole of Sam's existence:
At the very least he intended to leave Gene a note so that the man wouldn’t go through the same emotional torture Sam had during that god awful week Gene had been in hospital.

Sam loves Gene, and is now emotionally dependent on him. When I read this, I knew Sam was going back to stay. I do like the end note of Sam somehow knowing that Gene is ill, that this is all fucked up, but deciding to live that life anyway, with Gene.

Awesome stories!

Thank you so much,

Sam somehow knowing that Gene is ill, that this is all fucked up, but deciding to live that life anyway, with Gene.
was exactly what I was trying to get across with Sam's point of view.

Like the first story, this still chills me in a serious way, but I still love reading this scenario, there's something hauntingly likely in it, and I could very easily envision Sam choosing to return to the house for Gene as much as for himself. The acknowledgement that Sam isn't the only one here severely damaged is incredibly astute, and really draws the two together in a way that works well for the overall plot, just love it :)

Aw, thank you :) I'm not sure what it says about me that I'm so pleased you found these chilling ;)

I like this very much, the detail and the flickers of humor--Dan Brown, etc. (Still disturbed by the whole Stockholm Syndrome thing, but hey.)
Good job on Sam's inner debate on whether to stay or flee.

Thank you! I'm really glad you liked it and (if I'm honest) that you found it disturbing ;)

this is even better than the first bit and that was amazing. I can't wait to read if you decide there's more to it.

Thank you! I have one more part I'd like to add to this but it probably wont be until after the ficathon due to a heavy RL workload at the moment ;)
