You Go First- Jessica Andrews
You're kicking tires, I'm sitting on the fence
Love's falling all around us, and it don't make sense
How long can the two of us beat around the bush
We're right out on the edge but we need a little push
Dancing on the tightrope, wearing it thin
Instead of closing our eyes and jumping in
Do you want to kiss
Do you want to kiss
Do you want to kiss
Do you want to kiss
You go first
You're dodging the moon and I'm playing it safe
Look what we're not doing, oh boy, what a waste
And what could be worse than never saying it at all
Is never knowing the feeling, never feeling the fall
What's it gonna take to get us both there
Can't you see what I'm suggesting, it's a double dare
Do you want to kiss
Do you want to kiss
Do you want to kiss
Do you want to kiss
You go first
You start if you have the nerve
I'll trust my heart, but you go first
Do you want to kiss
Do you want to kiss
Do you want to kiss
Do you want to kiss
You go first.
Have you guys heard of Jessica Andrews? You HAVEN'T?!? I can't believe it! She could possibly be the best female country singer ever! Well, now you know. So, I cleaned my room today. It definately needed it. It was messy. I also have to work every single day until at least Tuesday, perhaps further, so sad. You know, I was thinking, a long time ago I wanted to have a quasi-dinner party at my place, and I was just always such a slacker I never put it together. We should do this sometime soon. Somebody, please give me the motivation! Ill have to have Tabi help me cook or something. You know what's sad? Tomorrow CU's going to slaughter CSU and I will have to miss it to be at work. Tess called me today but I wasn't there, she probably wanted me to go with her to the game... that sucks. Oh well, not like I had a ticket anyways. My sister signed me up for a concert band with her. I really sound terrible, it's amazing what 2 and a half years can do. You know what else I need to do sometime soon? Play tennis! I haven't played forever. This one girl was supposed to play with me once she got back from vacation but I guess she's not cool enough. Yup, that must be it. I just got the most random call that I have to write about. So, keep in mind it's currently 1:54am. My phone rings, I answer it. The man says, "Is John there?" Me-"No" Man- "No, he is, this is the number he gave me [reads off a different number]" Me- "I'm sorry, that's not this number. My number's [insert my number here]." Man- "Well, when you see John, let him know the cops are looking for him." [Hangs up the phone]. Yeah, I'm not the only one who finds that slightly strange, am I? I really want to do a trip to the Mills or 16th Mall or something sometime soon. Anybody up for it? Maybe tomorrow or Sunday? Oh, I almost forgot, my internship is going great! It's really interesting and the people are awesome! It fits into my schedule really well too. My schedule this semester rocks. I only have class on Tuesday and Thursday. So, this week has definately had it's ups and downs. The bad thing is my car got broken into...but strangely (luckily) they didn't take anything. It's weird though, I had cds in my car (keep in mind they're my type of music aka Reba Mcintyre and Elvis), but still, they didn't take anything. And they locked my car back up. Really strange. I did get asked to be in my best friend's wedding though, so that made my week! Also, I got to go swinging. Seriously, swinging could be the best thing in the entire world! It makes me go wild...hehe. I really need to do laundry, I have about 3 loads built up, it's insane. Monday. Yup, Monday. I will do it on Monday. So, I was thinking, I am a complete ditz. It's aweful. My sister has told me literally all my life that "I'm so lucky I have insanely good booksmarts because I am clueless in practical logic and streetsmarts." I know, it sounds harsh, but it's all sisterly love, right? Well, I think it's true though. I forget big important things all the time. I also always seem to say the wrong thing and end up regretting it later. Well, I guess the latter happens to all of us. You know what I read in my subscription magazine this week (don't laugh, it's psychology today)? Apparently when men and women say they are looking for a partner who has a sense of humor, they mean different things. Apparently women seek men who can be humorous, whereas men seek women who can appreciate the man's sense of humor. Apparently this study shows that men are actually intimidated by a girl with an actual sense of humor. Combine my corny jokes with my blatent sarcasm and I'd say I'm screwed. Ha, that was a joke, get it? Yup, point proven. Allright, I guess it's time to get to bed before work at 1, sweet! Ok, night kids. Or is it huns? I think it's kids.
