Well, I'm sure that by now you know of what transpired over the course of the last event. While I'm aware that you have a kind and forgiving heart, I just cannot let our engagement continue. I've already begun the paperwork and cancellations so all you have to do is sign the papers that will come for you soon. Even though we are officially single, I would still like to have a place in Greta's life, as I will always love her. Don't worry about me, I've found someone else, and I know you'll do the same. Now, since I know you'll insist on it, yes, we will still be friends.

Well damn...I don't exactly know what to say.
I know it may seem like I haven't taken a lot of time to make a choice, but in actuality my mind's had ten years to think it over.
This would be the part when I say "sorry" and list all kinds of reasons why I'm choosing a life with Lelouch over one with you, but it seems rather cruel. I can tell you, but only if you really want to know.
Maybe this is asking too much right now, but maybe someday we can be friends again. Friends...sure does sound hollow, huh? If not, I understand.
