On this the glorious day of senior last
So I'm up... writing my eight page history paper for tomorrow - the glorious day of senior last.
And I'm not going to say anything sappy about GDoSL (Glorious Day of Senior Last) because:
a. I'd have to barf on my shoes
b. I'm not copasetic with that momma jive
c. Feelings make my stomach do the twist
So instead I have decided to:
1. write a haiku
2. post a journal entry (or two) from my 1996 journal

Dear Journal,
In April I want to go to Washington D.C.! To see the Smithsonian. I want that to be our curriculum. In 3rd grade that is. Their are 14 museums in the Smithsonian. I know that from reading the reader for second grade. I am 8 years old I turned 8 last week.
2-3-96
Dear Journal,
I went to the Museum of Science with the girl Scouts. We slept in the brain wich is above the Electricity Room. We went to a Omni Show it was called Storm Chasers it was about people who stoped storms it made me a little dizzy. I was hot! But it was still fun!
2-21-96
Dear Journal,
I am on my way to Canada from our condo in Vermont we are just going for a few hours. It was rainny at Burke so we couldn't go sking. Jessica is getting car sick, Cara and Sam want crayons, Mommy and aunt Mary are talking and Uncle Joe and Daddy are being Quiet.
4-5-96
Dear Journal,
In two Days it will Be Easter. I can't wait to decorate the eggs twomorow. With my new egg decorater.
Each of those come complete with pictures in my actual journal. It's fantabulous. There are many more, but I have decided to spare you.
Reading Comprehension
These entries beg a few questions:
a. Why can I spell "curriculum" and "crayons," but not "which"?
b. Why was I hot on 2-3-96?
c. Are Daddy and Uncle Joe so quiet that it deserves capitalization? Was I channeling Emily Dickinson?
