I was in Kill Mode today. I was in a bad mood and I was fortunate enough to see the two people I dislike the most within minutes of each other this morning so it wasn't a good day to start out.
The day ended well though. Molly, Kerry, and I got to guard purses instead of doing community bonding activities and Kerry and I discussed the multiple places in which a person could engage in sexual activities.
Senior year is so much work; it's ridiculous.
On the upside I am getting better at my semicolon usage. I've been watching out more for my grammar just because I feel bad when I give Mr. Parella a sheet of vocab homework with a sentence that ends in a preposition or has a misplaced modifier. Yay, Grammar! (Grammar is a person in my mind.)
So on the schedule for the weekend I have to do lots of work that I've been putting off. (Uh oh! That sentence just ended in a
preposition!)
On the Radar: Have you ever seen
Taradise? Well, I have. And I have to say that I love the phrases that Tara uses.
Tara phrases that I would put into effect in my everday language:
"In like Flynn"
"On like Donkey Kong"
Now I know. These phrases have been used before Tara, preTara one might say, but I hadn't heard them before so... They are Taraphrases in my mind.
Like... I called
Ramen noodles "Aunt Pat's noodles" for a significant period of time in my life. (You should also check out these Ramen related links they are pretty interesting:
What's inside?,
Those Who Eat Ramen Can (and Will) Be Poets,
Who wants to keep their food in a locker?, and
There should be a Ramen poet society. I really wanted to acknowledge that there are different brands of ramen, eg. Top Ramen and Maruchan. [I eat Maruchan.])
