Ok. I'm ok with people again. I went to the shrimp boil at St. Roch tavern last night and got myself a $5 box of all kinds of good boiled up right delights. The cook is this fun-lovin jolly guy who makes people smile while he's cooking by saying things like "Y'all just wait an' see, you gonna love this!" and jokes about his "kitchen" which is this little tiny blocked off piece of sidewalk. People of all ages and walks of life go there for a simple night of free music and relaxed socializing. I think it is going to be my new bar.
