Can I bitch for a second?
Why is it that the wider my taste grows in music the worse off I am as a dj? If I would just stick the safe stuff. People love ambient music with a drum machine. The crowds don't want to expand their audio horizons, after all.
It's different being a "dj" than being a singer. With singing, you sometimes get immediate satisfaction- you can see if people are appreciating you. With playing records, sometimes people are enjoying it while talking to their friends and they don't have to look at you. And p.s. Dragons' Den people are not MY PEOPLE anyway.
