Often I allow even the most banal activity and interaction to weigh heavily on my mind. The hopeful authenticity of a friendly hello between strangers; the sobering injustice of a panhandler's plight; the awe-inspiring genius of a thought-provoking poem; the depressing reality of a three-car pileup. All evoke within me a similarly excessive emotional and philosophical reaction. Despite the frequency with which these things occur and exist, it is seldom that I bear witness to one or the other without dissecting its significance until it has become, in my mind, a reflection of humanity in some arbitrarily overarching way. I am, inherently, a relentless, inveterate subscriber to the process of analytical theatricalism.
