Back in the days before I hit terminal burnout and was still doing comic book shows (about 2005, I'm guessing? Maybe 2006), I asked local uber-artist Richard Dominguez to do me a pencil sketch of my character Bulldog Malone so that I could ink it, and practice my chops. Richard obliged (because he's just that kind of guy, and he even threw in Max of Two Minds for good measure), but I didn't get to it right away. And then with the crashing and the burning and such, I ended up not touching any art supplies for about two years, and kinda forgot about it. Recently I turned this nifty sketch up again while going through some files, and since I've been trying to be a bit creative again, decided to finally sling some ink at it.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the presence of mind to scan Richard's original pencil sketch so you could see his gorgeous lines, but I did try to ink it extremely tightly, so bascially what you're seeing here is what Richard laid down in pencil. I'm also going to color this one, but that'll take a while, since it's just for fun; I'll post the finished product when I'm happy with it. Click
