I have a sickness and I need help
It is almost 2 am on a sat night/sun morning...and I am at work.
Do I need to be here? NO.
I came in at 4:00 and decided to try and catch up on the work I could not do yesterday bc the blizzard made it impossible for me to get to work...
[as a side note: a VACATION day is a day where i do not set my alarm (unless it is for something FUN, like the conference last week), a day where I sleep late and stay in my warm bed under my down comforter in cozy PJs reading a good book until I feel like getitng up, going out to eat, and moseying thru my day doing whatever. A VACATION DAY is NOT a day where I set my alarm, get up at my usual time, search for something warm to wear, look for my boots, go out into a snowstorm, SHOVEL OUT MY CAR, get into said car, and spend almost 45 min driving 5 miles, only to finally decide it is not worth the hassle to go in, then spend 45 morte nerve wracking minutes trying to get home intact.
NO! THAT IS NOT A VACATION DAY!
And then to use a vaca day.. and then go to work on the weekend anyway..... and work more hrs than I would have if I had just gone to work on Friday.... grrr]
[AND THAT WAS MY *LAST* VACATION DAY, TOO! I WAS SAVING IT IN CASE I GOT A COLD OR THE FLU THIS MONTH! AAAARRRGH! STUPID SNOW!!!]
ANYWAY...
So I have been here. it's been fun. I bought some remixes off iTunes, have been blasting my music and singing along enthusiastically, can check my email all I want, and still got 3 days of work done in one long session, all printed out nicely on my boss's chair.
This is why I am sick. All I said was, okay, I finished a whole slew of work and I am going home. I am just gonna unclip this next stack of work so it is all ready to go on Monday...
okay I am just gonna check all these files out from the server so they are sitting on my hard drive ready for me to start on Monday...
ok I am just gonna delete all the extra master pages, takes 2 seconds...
okay I am just gonna load these SE minis while I have the server open and the import options set up... just one minute... then on Monday I can start right in on text corrections w/o needing to load those...
ok since I am on that server I might as well place the SE minis in the 2 other places in each document too...
ok while I am doing that I might as well place them properly... just to be ready to hit the ground running...
okay it is really f'ing bugging me that these color swatches are such a MESS, who made these files?!?! let me just clean that up, won't take but a moment...
IT'S 2 AM PEOPLE, I HAVE A SICKNESS AND I NEED A 12 STEP PROGRAM!!!!
