Yes I got up at 4:30 am, just in time to watch the Queen drive to the church. It was a beautiful wedding, gorgeous weather, and British people are so polite and orderly. They all looked nice too. So NOT how Americans would be LOL.
I confess I was expected Kate to wear a boring strapless sheath Vera Wang-esque dress, bc that what every American bride seems to wear (even the chubby ones - so we can show off our flabby arms AND our tattoss. We R klassy). But, she wore a more 1950s silhouette. Commentators mentioned the lace top with bodice was very Princess Grace. I'll say this, it made her look like she has something up top, which she does not. It is not my style but it looked lovely on her. She was also rather subdued, compared to Princess Diana, who was OVER the top (was famously quoted at the time as having picked her ring bc "it was the biggest one"). Kate wore a small tiara, a plain veil, dangling diamond earrings that were a gift from her family, and carried a small white bouquet. She had a long train but not crazy long. Her hair was pulled back from her face and worn down in back.
Her sister was her Maid of Honor and wore a white dress too, and it was super sexy while also not showing any skin at all. Fantastic.
They kissed twice on the balcony! So cute.
Very happy for them and the UK. It was a pleasant start to my day.
