Plagiarism is really cool!

I don't mean to offend anybody by this; I'm just saying that if my fic had been plagiarized, I'd be very flattered. If someone thought my writing was so good, that she wanted people to think she did it, I'd actually be quite happy. To me, what matters is that people reads my fics.. if a plagiarizer helps it to reach a bigger audience, I wouldn't mind her getting all the honour.
I'm pretty upset by people accusing others just like that. You're making yourself superior, like a self-styled police good enough to punish others. There's no lawbook in the world saying that copying other peoples fictional novels, written only for fun and not for making money, put up on the net for everyone to read, is a crime. If it's so important to you, take out patent on your stuff.
...this is too amusing for words. And also very, very sad. Fandom's fallen to a new low.
On a side note, I can just see it now. "Yes, Professor, I realized that I copied another person's essay from 4 years ago word for word, but I'm really just trying to show how great her essay was by getting an A for her work-- all in her honour of course!! Please don't expell me and give me 100%!! I'll even write a tiny credit."
