It wasn't quite as random as it seemed, in that it was pulled from one of the recipient's prompts. She had wanted Jin as a less than competent knight, which wouldn't have worked with just the Den-O part, of course, but if you make Jin as Kouga and then have Yoko mentioned he's in the wrong show... well, there you go. ;)
