[Festival 2008] - Rough Idea
Okay...here's a little rough idea...I'm sure everyone has heard of music festivals/competitions where you practise a few pieces and perform...and the adjudicators will mark you and at then end people hand out awards and stuff?
Yup...
je_oke is going to have its own little festival/competition(which one is better to use?!?) perhaps yearly around this time (beginning of June to end of august)
I need a rough number of people who are interested (and if have friends that might be interested too, please ask them XD) and a few people to help out ^^
Planning:
June - July: registration and submissions
August: adjudicating
Rough Rules: Please help ^^
-Up to 3 different song submissions (is that a good number?)
-Can enter 2 different categories for each song (is that okay?)
-Pair/group entry counts as 1 submission for everyone participating (eg, you can submit 1 solo + 2 groups; 2 solos + 1 group...etc)
-All songs must be recorded just for this (no past recordings)
Categories: If you have any ideas, please tell me ^^
-Group - more than 1 participant in the song
-Different Units: K8, NEWS, HSJ, KAT-TUN...etc
-Vocally challenging - wide vocal range, quick leaps, very fast...etc
-Rapping - the song has a rap in it
-Multi-Voice - sings each different member with a different, but accurate tone (eg, Shige=raspy)
-Ballad - genre class
-Pop - genre class
-Rock - genre class
Positions + Requirements:
Judges/Adjudicators (5 to 8.,,depends on how many categories and submissions we have) - Must be experienced in music competitions etc, knows how to judge in a fair manner (not adding points to your friends and stuff...not biased) and has time to listen to all the submissions in the categories you are judging for (don't worry, you'll have more than a month's time to listen) You may enter, but there will be another judge to judge the category you have entered.
Graphics Maker (2-4) - Can be able to make the 300x100 banners for participation + winners...as well as ads for other communities XD. Please include a sample or two of your works in your comment ^^
Mixers (2-3) - Can help those who can't mix
Karaoke (2-3) - Can help make/provide karaoke mp3 for participants. Some participants may want to sing something like With Me by NEWS...but there isn't a original karaoke track for that XD
Uploaders (2-3) - If you have a box.net account or can make a few, please help out ^^ all the songs should be on box.net for easy listening access to everyone (as it can be streamed)
If you are able to help out with more than 1 of the above...that would be great ^^
