good golly,
everything seems to be coming together quite well these days.
i'm quite pleased that school is starting, i actually felt like this summer has been quite complete and a nice length.
yesterday, i made two appointments that i have been putting off for at least a month (getting my flute fixed and a haircut)
and i also made a rough plan for france. i'll have to work at least 15 hours a week for the entire school year to save up the $2700 total for the flight, lodging and classes for a month, and spending money (with euro conversions and all). i feel so organised. and putting this together nearly a year in advance should make it all run quite smoothly. oh, and if it all works out, i'd get to leave school a few days early for the session i want to attend. and in case i didn't inform anyone, i intend to go to Lyon, the second biggest city in france. it seems so amazing, and better than paris for language learning because if you talk with an american accent in paris they just start speaking english to you (or at least i've heard that to be the case).
i'm getting a savings account at Bank of the West, which has a lot of locations, and interest is compounded daily. i just had to share that bit because it really excites me.
i got a tape from Daria! (technically it was addressed to me, marta, and olivia, but it was mailed to me and i listened to the entire thing, so it felt like mine). it's so great, lordee i miss that girl.
the only thing that hasn't really worked out is getting a car. i have just a bit more than a week to go and i still haven't found one. i was going to get my uncle's, but i was only told it was a jeep and jumped to conclusions too fast before finding out last night it's a pick-up, and i just can't have that limited amount of seating/storage.
this reminds me, i need to scour craigslist for vehicles.
oh, a little recollection:
three days in glenwood, that was quite the jolly old time, although i'm gonna have to go back up some time when the Taste of Asia buffet is open.
otherwise, it was fabulous: seeing martiz, facial steams, cats, peppy, pick up sticks, the brew pub, follow the leader, fashion magazines, not straightening my hair, hippie dipping, indian food, salamander lake, sheryl (just listen to olivia's voicemail), choxie, the couch by the river, troy the scary hippie, and the ability to see the stars.
my mother has a new man. i was perfectly fine with him until they broke out the margarita's and he and his dog were at our house for 48 hours. we'll see how this all ends up.
me and michaela saw the real worlders in lodo. i wonder when the episodes will air.
i got a photo ticket for $75.00, i ran a red light.
