Happy 25th birthday, Miura Shohei!
Hana Kimi original version is one of my favorite Japanese drama of all time. Especially the guy who portrayed Nakatsu Shuichi, Ikuta Toma. I was certain he was the only one fitted for that role.
When it was announced that there will be a remake of Hana Kimi, I barely noticed you and even said that Ikuta Toma wil be the one and only Nakatsu Shuichi for me.
Being a Japan lover, I continued watching Japanese dramas. I finished a lot of dramas, including Gokusen 3 which you starred in.
That's when I first noticed you. You were still young back then. You even had streaks on your hair. Nevertheless, I searched the casts of Gokusen 3 and I finally get to know your name: Miura Shohei.
I continued checking up on you. Looking for your pictures and the dramas you starred in. I realized you weren't that famous. You only starred in a few dramas like Toilet no Kami-sama, Koizora and Tumbling. Even your pictures on the internet was not that many. Most of them blurred and I guessed they were from your blog.
Even when I typed the word "Miura" suggestions for Miura Haruma came up.
But then, I didn't care. Without me knowing it, I already declared you as one of my bias on January 26, 2012.
I was shocked when I realized you are the guy whose gonna portay Nakatsu Shuichi. Even if it was against my will, I watched Hana Kimi 2011 for you and there I realized how great your acting skills are. I must admit that Ikuta Toma portrayed it better and he would always be the best Nakatsu for me but, you were different.
You and Toma have different acting skills. You were also good. And you portrayed Nakatsu well. Some even say that you portayed it better than Toma.
Time flew fast and you started getting more projects. From Hungry, Cleopatra no Onnatachi , Beautiful Rain, Tokyo Zenryokou Shojo and Saki. You started gaining attention and started appearing on different magazines. I was really happy for you.
I'm glad that I met you right from the start. Even now, you're gonna star in a new movie and will be a part of Kano-Uso's "CRUDE PLAY". Congratulations.
For your 24th birthday, I made a fan-video for you. And now, on your 25th birthday, I'm making you this letter.
Knowing the fact that there will be no chance of you reading this, I still want to greet you a Happy Happy Birthday.
I thank God for bringing you here on Earth. And your parents for raising you well.
My only wish is for you to stay healthy and no matter what, reach for your dreams. Do the things that makes you happy.
Me and all of your fans will be always here to support you and cheer you on. I am looking forward to your bright future, and I know your career is only starting that's why, Ganbare!
