commencement
or the beginning or start...
graduation day was pretty much great, I have to say :)
- I attended Kade's kindergarten graduation in the morning (even woke up early to help his teacher). I was so proud of my little guy and all he accomplished :)
- afterwards I went to Brusly and changed, and me, Nikki, and Mom went and had lunch @ Superior grill... which was amazing because Mexican food is the food of celebration lol
- then Nikki treated me to a manicure and I have LSU purple fingernails now... it's pretty hot ;)
- then we drove to campus to get our spot and so I could get in line and everything. I ended up in line and sitting w/ Serpas and Megan (teacher's aide from Kade's school)... which made everything more entertaining during the ceremony. Yeah, we had to wait a while to get our empty diploma covers, but nice... My proofs look cute :)
***the greatest part of my day was when I was walking to our seats and my family managed to get my attention up in the stands. Besides Nikki and Mom... was my Dad :) I was so surprised and excited I almost cried. He had flown in that afternoon and got here @ 1:45 from Illinois (my ceremony was @ 4) and my mom picked him up. The family totally kept it a secret from me... It was absolutely the best graduation present I could have asked for. My whole family was there for my graduation :) (well except for Jessie who was flying in about that time from Minneapolis where she was for work)
- now this incident is totally in place with my family having an important day... something had to go wrong! well it did... my car battery died lol. My Mom and I went and bought jumper cables while my Dad and Nikki waited with my car. It was too funny.
- afterwards, I didn't party or anything... I just went home and hung out with my family. I enjoyed as much as I could because of course I had gotten a damn headache during the ceremony. Then I went back to Denham to see Jessie a little bit before I crawled into bed @ 10...
