the power of family > the power of the giant LSU

I got a call from my Mom earlier this week. She told me that my Memaw is starting to deteriorate and that time is getting very short (like a week or so, probably no more).

I didn't go up last weekend because I was sick, I wasn't really planning on going up this weekend because of the wedding, and I was going to go up Mardi Gras weekend... but things changed for me...

I contemplated it last night. At first, I wasn't going to go. I'm driving to Bunkie (2 hours) on Friday for the wedding Saturday. And then I was going to drive from there to Spurger (3 1/2 hours from there). The irony is that it only takes 4 hours to get to Spurger from BR. That's a lot of gas, and I was going to wait especially since I'm going to owe LSU a chunk at the end of the month.

Then I thought it again (and talked to a friend for advice). I'm going to go. If I'm going to spend gas to be in a friend's wedding (who completely understand if something happens and I can't go/be in it), there should be no question that I'll spend gas for the chance to see my Memaw one more time. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't take the opportunity for this... I couldn't. So I decided... screw LSU, screw the cost of gas... my family is greater than you...

The time is getting short and it's starting to close in. The emotions and pressure are increasing... The equation is about to end... time is running out
