I got in a little while ago. Man, it's freaking cold outside. I think it's going to get down to the teens tonight, a record low, I believe. Oof. The rest of my day went pretty okay. My Dad and I just watched "Nobody's Fool" from 1994. It turns 25 this year. I didn't know so very much about it, other than people thought well of it, and Paul Newman was nominated for an Oscar for his performance. I knew it was appropriate for seniors, and my Dad is a fan of Paul Newman (and Bruce Willis), so, I picked it up after watching part of it on Prime the other night. You know what, it's different than I thought it would be, but it was good. It's a bit naughty in places, but it holds up - there were actually some surprising lines in it. The production of it, itself, was also relevant to us. And it just *felt* like a movie my Mom would've enjoyed - I'm pretty sure she did. I swear it's on VHS around here, somewhere. I'm glad my Dad and I got to see it together - he thanked me for sharing it with him. As a matter of fact, I ended up staying uncharacteristically late tonight - certainly after 10pm. It was another good visit and experience. It's my fourth day in a row visiting him. On the way there, I talked to my Brother for a bit, for the first time in a little while. Told him how the garage door was just replaced yesterday, and the work that was done today. Before that, I picked up my Dad some more Cayenne pepper (apparently the last one I just got him disappeared), and before that, I did some work high up in the garage - I was actually able to get an 11 foot ladder up, inside. Like... I think that's just cool - like, there being an indoor place on our property that that can happen. I've never been up there. I showed my Dad a picture, and he knew the spot. We discussed some ideas to accomplish what I'd like to do.

Before that, the plumber came, to do work that's certainly been an issue for at least most of this year, but was dubious for at least the past six. It's something that if it were left undone, could pretty much be a disaster. So, that's done, now. He's a really good guy - we just chat. Even he sees how much I've been doing. I can't believe how much I've been able to get done and address. It's simultaneously out of nowhere, and a long time coming.
