::Yawn:: Oof. I'm up. I don't want to be, but I am. Sleep was the poorest I've gotten in quite a while, unfortunately. I suppose it wasn't helped by the movie night that got out at like midnight thirty. I had meant for it to end around 10:10, but most people got there later than expected, and then for the first time in some time - we all just ended up talking until well after the DVD player and projector turned off automatically (super rare). Just sitting there in the moonlight. It was really cool - I think they stuck around late since it was the last movie night I'm doing before my trip, and I really appreciated that. Clara showed up first, followed by Eddy, followed by Anthony, Greg and Clarktron. At first I had this weird episode of Arthur C Clarke's World of Mysterious Powers about ESP that Anthony actually knew (it seemed so random, but he had seen it at a previous movie night). Then, we put on Night at the Roxbury, which I've been meaning to show for years. For what it is, it's very enjoyable. We had some good laughs - and oddly enough, 21 years after its release, there were still relevant references made - unreal. I'm glad we got to see it together. I've never seen it on the big screen, and it's largely a time capsule of 1997/1998, with a very 90s soundtrack. We also realized how much it parallels Step Brothers, from exactly 10 years later. I had considered showing a Coburn film, providing he's like the patron saint of our movie nights, but it seemed like it would be way too long. But, I said perhaps we could do some Coburn upon my return.
After most of us had called it a night, Clark and I took the time to see if we could see the moons of Jupiter with one of my new camera lenses - low and behold, after a lot of work and frustration, we did! I got my very first photos of Jupiter, and at least 2 or 3 of its moons. Crazy!
So, today is my last day here. That's surreal as fuck. So freaking much to do today - I hope I can get at least some of the most important things done. Oh! After a year, in just two weeks, I pretty much got my BMI to high "normal". Crazy the incentive a project like this can have.
