I think my eyes are squared. I've spent the past few days watching Korean movies and just started on a drama called "
All In". I've barely spared a glance at the book I was reading. I never thought me a person to have an addictive personality but it seems when there nothing you can do to get the stuff, you just sober up. I'm talking about satisfying my sweet tooth and love for Asian dramas and movies, people, not hardcore drugs. =_=;
I've watched '100 days with Mr. Arrogant' which was SUPER hilarious (mostly at the beginning) and 'Temptation of the Wolves' (starring
Lee Chung Ah -- she was also in '
Let's go to the Beach' and plays a good innocent girl in both roles ^^b) which had some cool fighting scenes and just the right amount of romance/drama. 'Almost Love' was okay. It had a consistent story line. ^^ The one scene that caught me by surprise was when the two guys end up in some public bath together and the owner-lady opens the door and there is a full frontal scene with the explicit bits blurred out. o_o It happens really fast. I'm warning you! Honestly! And one of the guys is
Lee Sang Woo (Lee Joon Mo from '
9 ends 2 outs' -- still my favorite K-drama of all time so far? XD!!!!!) He's also in '
18 v. 29' which I haven't seen yet but am planning to sometime soon.
'100 scene no koi' (100 scenes of love) consisted of three shorts all starring
Hiro Mizushima. While I thought this sounded okay after reading the synopsis I was sorely disappointed that the stories ended abruptly (they were each like 20 minutes long. The movie could've been 2 hours and much better) and the ONLY good thing about it is watching
Hiro Mizushima be hot and even shirtless in some scenes! XD BTW, is he really married to
AYAKA?! WTF! Everyone's in a marrying frenzy in Japan!
Oguri Shun is rumored to marry
Yamada Yuu and all; they're all jumping ship. ;___; [siiiiiigh~]
I'm only on Ep. 8 of '
All In'. I feel like when I read a summary of a drama or movie, it doesn't fit the description at all. I could probably write something entirely different. >_> That's how I've felt so far with this one anyway. It's got a LOT of fighting scenes, gambling, profanity and little romance which is fine 'cause I get tired of the mushy stuff. It looks like an older drama, too. =/ The soundtrack is definitely late 80s early 90s but I think that's the time the drama takes place. There are several references to the Godfather and Vegas which make it kinda cheesy but it's about gambling so.. [shrug]. The freeze frame at the end of every episode of the main guy look intense also makes me giggle alot.
The guy that plays the younger Kim In Ha is pretty cute. ^///^ Too bad the back story only lasted the first two episodes. [pouty face]
Anyway, if I appear MIA, it's because I'm a drama junkie (but not drama in MY life; just the stuff on TV) and need lots of help. Intervention anyone?
