When Hasshi came in amidst heated debate with Kawai whether going out for ramen two nights in a row was a good idea and, not even pausing his argument, reached up to get the crackers and handed them to Kitayama, Kitayama's indignant spluttering did nothing to help either Tamamori or Kawai stifle their laughter.

"Well now I do, sure. Stop comparing yourself. You're different. It just takes time. You'll get there. Besides, you have something I didn't have."
"Good looks?"
"No, bratface. Me." Koki ruffled his hair and Juri smiled.

They'd been in Hawaii for about twenty-two hours and so far Nino had only let go of his hand to go to the bathroom or to push an overly excited Aiba away from him.
They sat eating their lunches, or rather, they sat both eating Ohno's lunch; Nino continually taking Ohno's french fries with his free hand, the other gripping Ohno's tightly under the table.
Ohno thought that he'd be happy to give him all the french fries in the world if Nino just promised never to let go.
Ten years later, he was glad that nothing had changed.
