Author's notes: So apparently most of NEWS is weak in the morning. Even Tegod.

Tegoshi’s alarm beeps at 7am. He gets up, changes his clothes, and opens his door.

An arrow promptly whizzes by, ripping his T-shirt before embedding itself in the drywall.

Before him, the Hosokawa armies battle the Yamana, in 1467.

Frowning, Tegoshi closes the door and returns to bed. When he wakes up again thirty minutes later, he makes sure to exit on the right this time.

At work, Shige says, “You’re late.”

“I was in the Sengoku Jidai,” Tegoshi sulks.

Shige snorts. “Stop playing video games before bed.”

Tegoshi ignores him; he wonders how to get arrows out of walls.

Characters: NEWS
Author's notes: IDK either. I should go to sleep.

The bear sniffs menacingly around the tree; the three members in the tree tremble.

“Musashi!” Shige shouts desperately from one of said branches, towards a high rock formation that’s keeping the other three members safe. “You were Musashi right, Massu? Grab some branches and whack it on the nose. That’ll scare it away.”

“He was young Musashi,” Tegoshi reminds everyone.

“Leader!” Koyama tries next, “Leader was in Byakkotai! He must have learned kendo for that.”

Yamapi looks apologetic. “I died, so I wasn’t very good.”

Silence.

Ryo sighs and thinks it’s going to be a long wait for park services.

Characters: NEWS
Author's notes: Right. Sleeping now.

“Why is it,” Shige complains during NEWS’s next PV filming, “that whenever we’re Samurai, I always die?”

Yamapi blinks. “What do you mean, Shige?”

“Summary,” Shige responds. “Remember Summary?”

“It’s a dramatic PV for our song,” Tegoshi reasons.

“But nobody wants their favorite idols dead.”

Ryo snorts. “Who says you’re anyone’s favorite?”

Koyama understands; he searches for a bright side. “At least this time it isn’t Kame-chan killing you, ne.”

“Yeah. People might actually notice you’re dying this time,” Ryo adds.

Which is true, but Shige doesn’t always want to be that guy.

In the meantime, Massu practices stabbing him.
