It’s sinking in very slowly. Totsuka still feels like it hasn’t registered in his brain 100%. He barely hears the private announcement from Johnny-san, the press conference passes in a blur, even celebrating with the rest of his group somehow doesn’t make it ‘real’ yet.
It doesn’t become ‘real’ until a few days later.
“Congratulations on your debut. You catch up so soon. I didn’t have to wait long.” Kitayama offers a hand to him. “I told you I’d wait, didn’t I?”
The smile on his face is real and Totsuka reaches out for the other’s hand. “You did indeed.”

Kawai writes a mail to Yokoo, calling the other a big squishy loser. But he does it with tears stinging in his eyes just a little bit. Years of being friends couldn’t be destroyed so easily by a debut or two. It was the circle of life within Johnny’s after all.
They had supported their friends and their friends were supporting them back now. Miyata had said the other day, how they were all each other’s biggest fans.
“We’re not just going to catch up to you, we’re going to run after you and kick your asses!” he mails back.
