“Webcam me you fucker!” says the new email alert that pops up in a corner of Jin’s laptop. A smile tugs at the corner of his lips at the familiar tone.
But the alert appears right next to the onscreen clock, and seeing what time it is makes Jin turn his attention back to the song he’d been working on. Six hours, he only has six hours to finish this song that he just can’t pin down; and now that he doesn’t have the jimusho at his back, slacking off isn’t an option.
Yamapi’s email will just have to wait.

Yamapi waits for Ryo to finish raging around the room before he quietly says, “I don’t blame him though. He’s on a deadline, it’s important.”
“He’s forgetting your anniversary.”
“He has to think about his future.”
“Why are you always like this?” asks Ryo, metaphorically throwing his hands up by kicking Yamapi’s laundry back into the pile that he’d destroyed only a few minutes back. “You always think everything is so wonderful - what if things aren’t as perfect as you think they are?”
“But Ryo-chan,” Yamapi says, sincerity adding luster to his eyes, “Jin and I will have more anniversaries.”

Jin goes through about four of the CDs Yamapi brought on their trip before stopping. “Did you really only bring Southern albums?” he asks, pointedly not turning around to look at the grin he knows Yamapi’s giving him.
“Go to the beach and watch the sunset-”
“-while listening to Southern,” Jin finishes with him. “I know, I know, it’s your ideal.”
“It’s the only reason I stayed with you when you were halfway across the world and forgot special dates. So we could have anniversary trips to Hawaii, ne.”
When Jin finally looks, Yamapi is flashing a stupid peace sign.
