No more classes!

Well, I finished my last final yesterday! I was sorta panicking about it, being that the first two finals I took I sorta bombed, I think. The first one I studied the wrong things, and then the second I sorta lost the book, so I didn't know what to study. The last one I took (I had the option to write a paper for the fourth class, glad I did) was for my Unix/Linux class. He posted that it was 40 questions, and would take at most two hours to complete. All of his tests where short answer, and kind of hard, but they where open notes/book tests. The final was not. I was distracted alot this weekend, and did a bad job trying to study for it. I went through everything, but there was a lot to the class, and I didn't want to look like an idiot for acing everything up to the final. Well, I finally went in yesterday, received the test, and it ended up being forty multiple choice questions. Yes, multiple choice. Not only was it multiple choice, but on the easy stuff in my opinion. I was saved! I pretty much aced that :) So, I missed one point in one test (because I messed up and didn't pay attention to what I put down), and if I aced that, I got 169 out of 170 possible points! Yay! I think I got 2 A's and 2 B's... so far, I know I have the 2 A's and a B, not totally sure yet on my Info Sys Sec class yet.

Tuba Christmas was this weekend. That was a lot of fun. I ended up having a big slice of pizza, then getting laughed at because I got Haggen Da's, or however you spell that. It was good, sorta. One of their ice cream things with a whole bunch of toppings, making it a rocky road style treat. Was good up until I got closer to the bottom, then it was too sweet. So I threw the rest out. Bummer it cost so much. harrisonshippie came to watch w/ blueseas318 :). They took my pictures. Then I couldn't get a hold of them... So I ended up going to an Irish pub with some people in the section... Mick O'Shea's. That place looked pretty cool. I enjoyed it there.

The Ravens won this weekend! But, it was at the expense at making Eli looking like a total looser. I feel bad for him. My view on Eli Manning - He started late in the season. Not only did he start late, but he also started against some of the toughest defenses in the league. That would be a totally different story if it was closer to the beginning of the season, when defenses wheren't as hot as they are now. Lets face it, he is getting the shit beat out of him for no good reason. That and he isn't making the brightest of decisions. I think this is due to him wanting to be like his big brother. He will mature, and when he does, he'll realize that when people start cheering at him 'Your not Payton!' he will take that to hart, and say 'Damn right! I'm Eli'.

It looks like Ole Miss may have a chance at getting the head coach for the 49'ers to come to Ole Miss. Erickson was a great college coach, but has had a horrible time in the Pro's. Maybe Ole Miss can convince him to return to becoming a winning coach again!

I got a message from a certain someone to call them last night. Too bad I didn't see that 'till, oh, 12:45AM when I finally realized I had fallen asleep watching movies. So I called her this morning before eight, knowing she'll be going to work. We talked for 14:17, according to my phone. Yay! I was beginning to think she didn't want to talk to me anymore. We had a good conversation at least. She said she will call me more :)

Well, that's it for now. I do have a poem that was given to me by Ashley, the lab tech for the science labs across the hall, in her Christmas card, so I shall share.

'T'was the night before Christmas and all through the town
Not a sign of Baby Jesus was anywhere to be found.

The people were all busy with Christmas time chores
Like decorating, and baking, and shopping in stores.

No one sang "Away in a manger, no crib for a bed".
Instead, they sang of Santa dressed-up in bright red.

Mama watched Martha Stewart, Papa drank beer from a tap.
As hour upon hour the presents they'd wrap.

When what from the T.V. did they suddenly hear?
'Cept an ad.. which told of a big sale at Sears.

So away to the mall they all flew like a flash...
Buying things on credit.. and others with cash!

And, as they made their way home from their trip to the mall,
Did they think about Jesus? Oh no... not at all.

Their lives where so busy with their Christmas time things
No time to remember Christ Jesus, the King.

There were presents to wrap and cookies to bake.
How could they stop and remember who died for their sake?

To pray to the savior... they had no time to stop.
Because they needed more time to "Shop till they dropped!"

On Wal-mart! On K-mart! On Target! On Penney's!
On Hallmark! On Zales! A quick lunch at Denny's.

From the big stores downtown to the stores at the mall
They would dash away, dash away, and visit them all!

And up on the roof, there arose such a clatter
As grandpa hung icicle lights up on his brand new step ladder.

He hung lights that would flash. He hung lights that would twirl.
Yet, he never once prayed to Jesus... Light up the World.

Christ's eyes... how they twinkle! Christ's Spirit... how merry!
Christ's love... how enormous! All our burdens... He'll carry!

So instead of being busy, overworked, and uptight,
Lets put Christ back in Christmas and enjoy some good nights!

Quite inspiring, especially the last part. I suggest that you shall never write X-mas anymore, as that too takes Christ out of Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

-Jeff
