Ok. The nitty gritty. I'm afraid I have a virus of some sort. At the same time that nearly EVERY page was telling me I needed a plug-in that I didn't have (Flash... which I then went to the website to try and install with no success), my puter can no longer allow me to go to hibernate, cuz if I do, it experiences some sort of issue so that (it sounds like) the computer itself is on, but the monitor cannot turn itself back on, causing me to take matters into my own hands and disconnect the cord and remove the battery, wait a bit and turn it back on.

It says the flash player exe thing is not a valid windows 32 (or whatever #) application.

I try to reload the flash player at www.abobe.com etc etc, and it says that "This download has been blocked by your security zone policy - macromedia.com"

The only thing I can think of that I know about computers that involves a security zone policy or something like it is the level of security allowed by the web browser. Mine is at medium and should therefore let me download something like a flash player update.

That's about all the info that I have. Other than the flash player thing and the inability to hibernate, my computer's totally acting normal. Not slow, not abnormal in any way.

So... I just did the system restore thing for a week prior (although I'm going to re-do it for prior to trying download the flash player...)
