“Saki-chuu~” Niya only called him that when he was completely wasted. Sakito suppressed a sigh and waited for him to slur through the usual confession.
“I…I just wanted to…tell you I’m in love with you.” He hiccupped and fell into mortified silence.
“Um…that’s nice…” Sakito obliged, and Niya hung up. The next day, he would bring it up, and Niya would panic, pretending to have been joking. Sakito knew better, but he was patient. His heart could wait a little longer.
