Theme #24 -- Hanabi / Fireworks
*creeps in through the side door, keeping my head down in the hopes that no one will see me sneak in*
Hey out there! Remember me? No? Well, I don't find that surprising, since I've been gone forever. Endless thanks to all of you who have patiently kept this community alive while I was off having issues and such. I'm still having issues, but I'm hoping that I can get back into action anyway.
It's been a couple of weeks, but I am back with a new theme! This week's theme is HANABI / FIREWORKS! Independence Day is this week here in the States, and everyone and their dog is buying fireworks and slowly setting stuff on fire with them, so it seemed like an appropriate theme. Besides, the muffled sound of M-80s kept me awake for a while last night, so it was on my mind, even before I found the scorch mark on the sidewalk this morning.
So, are you at a festival, watching the fireworks in the night sky and feeling a little romantic? Are you finding more nefarious uses for bottle rockets and M-80s? Are you the one who set the roof on fire? Do fireworks make you nostalgic? Do you just not understand why everyone is so fascinated by blowing stuff up? Or are the fireworks less literal, and you're gearing up for a knock-down, drag-out fight with someone, so you're going to make some verbal fireworks of your own?
Mix me a drink and hand me a lighter -- let's see how much damage we can do!
